Hi, Matt - No need to explain for me. Doing something that is in your heart is so important. It goes beyond cyclocross too. Doing things that make you joyful are what our lives should be about. If you went to Belgium for a cross race it would be no different. Hell, if there was a race on Jupiter and you wanted to be there, go.Though it might be a little cumbersome with a space suit on. You are a good person and good people think about stuff. Don't let it get in the way of doing something you just love.

The only possible way for that crank to come off is when pushing over 700 watts for a time in excess of 25 minutes... you blew it's socks off, maybe it is time to trade in the LaPwhatever for a nice shiny new Trek... you know you want one.
